FULL LINE-UP OF CANDIDATES
There are six seats to be filled, two in each of the three Aycliffe Wards. The Liberal Democrats and Labour each have a full set of six candidates, the Conservatives one, and the BNP two. But there are no fewer that TWELVE Independents standing for the six seats, six of them in Aycliffe North Ward alone!
With twice as many Independents standing as there are seats, the chances of any Independent being elected is remote. Once again it's clear - the only REAL contest in this election is between Liberal Democrat and Labour. You choose, but remember: a vote for Independent or Tory will only let Labour in.
